Colin Kaepernick pleased San Francisco 49ers fans with an excellent performance in beating up the Chicago Bears.
The San Francisco 49ers pieced together a dominating performance on Monday Night Football, dominating the Chicago Bears from start to finish in a 32-7 victory at Candlestick Park.
Colin Kaepernick played extremely well, completing 16 of his 23 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns. Kaepernick did most of his damage in the first half, where he completed 12 of his first 15 passes for 184 yards and a touchdown for a pretty impressive passer rating of 140. David Fucillo of Niners Nation talked a little bit about the outstanding performance of San Francisco's quarterback.
Kaepernick flashed his entire skillset, most notably showing his strong arm, and his escapability. He had little trouble picking apart the Bears defense. Add in the Bears struggles in tackling and they were playing from behind from the get-go.
Kaepernick had to step up and replace Alex Smith after the Niners starting quarterback suffered a concussion in last week's tie to the St. Louis Rams, and he delivered big time for San Francisco. The 49ers now move to 7-2-1 on the season and remain in first place of the NFC West. They now appear to have two viable options at quarterback to choose from the rest of the way.
