The New England Patriots bring a four-game winning streak and three-game lead in the AFC East to New Jersey to take on the New York Jets on Thanksgiving night. The two rivals last faced off on Oct. 21 with the Patriots needing overtime to come away with the 29-26 win. New England has not lost since that meeting.
The Jets broke a three-game losing streak with a 27-13 win over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday. Quarterback Mark Sanchez played his best game of the year and for the second time this season, the Jets did not turn the ball over once. New York hopes to continue to play well on Thursday against the Pats and end the season by making a run for the playoffs.
The Patriots will have to keep their winning streak going without Tom Brady's favorite end zone target, Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski broke his forearm late in the Pats 59-24 win over the Colts, sidelining him for at least four weeks. The tight end has caught 10 touchdowns on the season, including seven during the Patriots current four-game win streak. New England will look to rely on an NFL best plus-20 turnover differential to guide them to victory without their star tight end:
