The experts are split on who to pick for the win in Thursday's NFC East showdown between the Cowboys and Redskins.
The Washington Redskins head to Dallas on Thursday for a Thanksgiving matchup against the Cowboys in a crucial NFC East contest.
The Cowboys (5-5) can move into first place in the NFC East with a win and a New York Giants loss; the Redskins (4-6) are in a similar situation after a blowout win over the Eagles on Sunday. Both teams present significant matchup problems for the other, most notably being how the Cowboys plan to corral Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.
Joel Thorman of SB Nation is expecting a triumphant hometown return for the rookie sensation:
Now we know RGIII can run Jon Gruden's favorite play, "Spider 2 Y Banana." RGIII was magnificent last Sunday, completing 14-of-15 passes (which is ridiculous). What's more impressive is that the Redskins haven't turned it over in three games. That's the formula for success. RGIII's Thanksgiving Day debut will be a good one.
The pick: 24-20, Redskins
The experts over at ESPN are split between the Cowboys and Redskins, with picks split perfectly between the 14 media members weighing in. Only one of the three at Yahoo! Sports has picked the Redskins, with Mike Silver and Les Carpenter going with the Cowboys in the game.
Similarly, five of the nine at CBS Sports have picked the Cowboys for the win, while five of eight picks side with the Redskins against the 3.5-point spread.
