RGIII sure is glad to have Garcon back on the field.
We can tell which team didn't overdo it on the turkey this afternoon. RGIII and the Washington Redskins are on fire, opening up a 21-3 lead on the Dallas Cowboys in a Thanksgiving Day matinee. RGIII threw his second touchdown pass of the game, and it was a doozy.
Griffin found Pierre Garcon in the middle on second-and-12, with a perfectly placed pass. Garcon made it a highlight reel play with his catch for a 59-yard touchdown.
That's only Garcon's second touchdown catch of the season. He missed much of the year so far with a foot injury. He now has four catches for 91 yards and a touchdown in this one.
Dallas players didn't like getting burned, again, and starting getting chippy in the end zone. Garcon got a nasty little shove from behind courtesy of Mike Jenkins.
That shot got Jenkins a flag, of course, for unsportsmanlike conduct. The frustration is getting the Cowboys, obviously.
