Miles Austin won't return to the Cowboys' Thanksgiving matchup with the Redskins.
Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Miles Austin will not finish the team's Thanksgiving game against the Washington Redskins after suffering a hip strain in the first quarter. Austin was injured on the Cowboys' second drive of the game and didn't return.
Austin was targeted twice by Tony Romo before he left, but failed to record a catch. The Cowboys have struggled to move the ball all day, and have fallen behind 28-6 in their annual holiday contest.
The seventh-year wide receiver out of Monmouth has 49 catches for 727 yards and four touchdowns on the year. He has not missed a game this season after appearing in just 10 in 2011.
The Cowboys allowed 28 points in the second quarter after taking a 3-0 lead in the first. They moved the ball to add a field goal to start the third, but have a long hill to climb if they are going to come back.
