The Browns host a vulnerable Steelers team with Charlie Batch under center.
The Cleveland Browns are coming off of another heartbreaking close loss, but will welcome a hurting Pittsburgh Steelers team to Browns Stadium on Sunday. The Steelers will be starting Charlie Batch under center after second-string quarterback Byron Leftwich was injured in last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Other key contributors like Ziggy Hood and Isaac Redman were also injured in last week's game, and the Steelers will enter the game in a vulnerable position. At 6-4, they are solidly in the playoff hunt, but need to hold the fort until Ben Roethlisberger can return to action.
Cleveland, meanwhile, is playing for pride at 2-8 -- and in the case of head coach Pat Shurmer, to save his job. Cleveland seemed to have victory in hand against the Cowboys last week, but game-tying and game-winning field goals by Dallas kicker Dan Bailey put that notion on ice. But with the Steelers in the shape that they are in, the Browns may have a good shot of notching their first win over Pittsburgh since 2009.
