Inactive lists for the game between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday are out, and cornerback Rashean Mathis will be on the field for Jacksonville, while fellow corner Will Middleton will sit. On Tennessee's side, safety Al Afalava and running back Jamie Harper are out.
Mathis has not played since Oct. 21 while nursing a groin injury. Prior to that, he played in six games, registering 15 tackles and four pass deflections. Mathis won't start on Sunday, with Aaron Ross getting the nod instead. Although Middleton is out, fellow corner Dwight Lowery is also active, as expected. Lowery will be in action for the first time since Oct. 7.
Also inactive for the Jaguars is running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who will sit for the fifth consecutive game with a foot injury. He is joined by fullback Greg Jones, safety Chris Harris, guard Steve Vallos and defensive tackles D'Anthony Smith and Jeris Pendleton.
The Titans won't miss Afalava, who only has four tackles on the season, all of which came in one game. As for Harper, while he only has 11 rushing yards on the season, he has scored three touchdowns -- two of which came against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 21. Joining those two on the inactive list are quarterback Rusty Smith, linebacker Xavier Adibi, offensive tackle Byron Stingily, wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins and defensive tackle DaJohn Harris.
