Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson has left the Falcons' fight with the Buccaneers with a head injury
Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson has left the Falcons' matchup with Buccaneers in the third quarter. His return is questionable.
The corner headed to the locker room with a head injury after a hard collision with Buccaneers running back Doug Martin.
The hard-hitting defender from South Carolina is known for his proclivity to be physical with his head dating back to a brutal hit with the Eagles' DeSean Jackson several years ago.
The extended loss of Robinson could be extremely significant for a Falcons team that is looking to hold off the Buccaneers today and faces the Saints on Thursday night.
Both the Buccaneers and Saints tout potent passing attacks and are surging on the heels of Atlanta in the NFC South race. If he is out for a significant period of time, Robinson's absence could be a big factor in helping both teams climb their way back up the division standings.
Robinson has 39 tackles this season to go along with one interception and six passes defended.
