The Cardinals dropped their seventh straight game on Sunday. A season that once had so much promise is turning into a nightmare.
After starting out the year 4-0, the Arizona Cardinals dropped their seventh consecutive game on Sunday to the last-place Rams. Very little went right for the Cardinals, and now a season that had so much promise in September has turned into a nightmare.
SB Nation's Cardinals blog, Revenge of the Birds, ripped the lackluster performance. They weren't too happy with the 31-17 loss at University of Phoenix Stadium.
In yet another laughable effort by the coaching staff and offense, the Cardinals were man-handled in the 2nd half of the game by the rival Rams. The only word that can describe this game is "pathetic".
As for Arizona's chances moving forward, Revenge of the Birds isn't too optimistic. As a matter of fact, they believe some have even shifted their focus to the offseason and next year.
Next week, the Cardinals travel to New York to take on the Jets. In a battle between two train-wreck teams, it will definitely be entertaining to watch.
But from the looks of it, most Cardinals fans are already turning to the draft.

The playoffs do seem unlikely at this point, although there is still a chance the Cardinals could make an unexpected run. But when you consider the quarterback and defensive issues the team has suffered over the past few weeks, that seems highly improbable.
