Packers vs Cardinals: Jordy Nelson limps off field with apparent ankle injury

Nelson was a surprise "active" this morning, but may not stay active for long.

Jordy Nelson returned from a hamstring injury to start against the Cardinals Sunday. Midway through the first quarter, it appears that he might go back to being ruled out.

Nelson slid awkwardly in an attempt to make a catch at the Arizona one-yard line, then limped off and was having his right ankle examined by trainers. To literally add insult to injury, Nelson's catch was overturned after replays showed that it skipped off of the ground before ending up in Nelson's arms. Aaron Rodgers hit Randall Cobb for a 13-yard touchdown a few plays later to give Green Bay a 7-0 lead.

Nelson is listed as questionable to return, but most speculate that it seems highly unlikely he'll take another snap. After missing last week's win over the Jaguars following his hamstring injury suffered in practice, Nelson got back on the field sooner than expected. With the Packers getting a bye in Week 10, this seems like a good chance for Green Bay to start resting their top receiver.

They can't risk him injuring all of his other body parts.
