Prom, maybe.
Hell hath no fury like DeAngelo Williams scorned.
The Panthers went into D.C. and upset the Redskins 21-13. Was there extra motivation? Williams tweeted after the game: "I've never been more insulted in the nfl until today! The redskins schedule us for their HOMECOMING game!" including a picture of Washington's program that listed it as "Homecoming" for the Redskins.
After reading that, Williams must have felt like he "Can't Hardly Wait" for the game to start. After the win, he told reporters:"That was definitely motivating. I mean, you don’t say you’re gonna have a homecoming in the National Football League. I mean, you do it in college. It’s [against] one of those teams that’s just terrible. You don’t book a good team for homecoming….I don’t know if they had a dance or anything..."
Williams, who scored a first quarter touchdown, may have lost his starting job to Jonathan Stewart but he wasn't about to lose against a team that took them as seriously as "The Texas State Armadillos." Either that or he's mad that Washington had a dance and nobody asked him to go.
After the Carolina win, Williams can safely feel like "He's All That."
Angus.
