Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE
Tony Romo has thrown 13 interceptions this season. He almost had two more on Sunday night, but not quite.
Tony Romo has not thrown an interception. Granted, he's only thrown the ball 13 times through a quarter and a half of football against the Atlanta Falcons, but progress is progress for a quarterback still looking for his second game without throwing an interception. He very nearly threw a pair of picks on his last drive.
Romo is 6-for-13 with 114 yards on Sunday night. He hasn't thrown a touchdown, but, as mentioned above, he hasn't thrown a pick either. It's a win!
He leads the league with 13 interceptions, having added four to his total last week in a loss to the Giants at Cowboys Stadium. He threw five picks in a Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears. His only game without an interception came in a Week 7, 19-14 win on the road against the Carolina Panthers.
Dallas' quarterback entered Sunday's games completing more than 65 percent of his passes this season with 2,073 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Cowboys are leading 6-3 with about nine minutes left to play in the second quarter.
