In a season full of comebacks and close games, Detroit fans enjoyed the Lions 31-14 win against Jacksonville.
Prior to Sunday, all seven of Detroit's games this season were decided by eight points or less. With plenty of close losses and stressful comebacks, it shouldn't come as a surprise the Detroit fans enjoyed the Lions comfortable 31-14 win on Sunday.
As Sean Yuille of Pride of Detroit said, the Lions were expected to win big against Jacksonville and took care of business. Detroit jumped out quickly and took a 21-0 lead at halftime. The Lions added to the lead in the second half, leading 31-8 late in the fourth quarter. Yuille called the game a one-sided affair and despite the fact Jacksonville isn't among the toughest opponents, he called it an impressive win.
It was their first comfortable win of the season, and really it was their first all-around solid effort since 2011. The offense played extremely well, as did the defense.
With the win, Detroit has now won two of its last three games to work its way back into the playoff picture. The Lions will play a pivotal game against NFC North foe Minnesota next week, a game Yuille called one of Detroit's most important games of the season.
