Jacksonville running back Maurice Jones-Drew will not play against the Colts on Thursday.
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew will miss his third straight game, as he has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a foot injury.
During his Monday press conference, Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said Jones-Drew would not play against the Colts, but Mularkey said he didn't think the injury would cause Jones-Drew to miss the rest of the season. Jones-Drew suffered the injury on the first play of Jacksonville's game against Oakland in Week 7.
With Jones-Drew out, Rashad Jennings will once again start at running back for the Jaguars. Jennings started the last two games in place of Jones-Drew, rushing for 104 yards on 29 attempts. Jennings may be in line for a few more starts, as Mularkey said Jones-Drew was questionable for Week 11.
Despite missing the last two weeks and the majority of the game against Oakland, Jones-Drew remains the Jaguars' leading rusher for the season with 414 rushing yards.
