In anticipation of Tuesday's presidential election, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney are set to appear on Monday Night Football during halftime of the game between the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles, according to Bill Carter of the New York Times.
Similar to what occurred with Obama and John McCain four years ago, the two presidential candidates will be interviewed by ESPN studio host Chris Berman. The longtime ESPN icon will presumably lob the two politicians questions about their respective opinions and relationships with the sports world.
Over the past few weeks, Obama has been making a good number of appearances in the national media, something that Romney has opted not to do. Before voters take to the polls tomorrow to make some very important decisions, both candidates have decided to make their final public appearances on a nationally televised football game.
Monday night's game is being televised by ESPN at 8:30 p.m. ET from the Superdome in New Orleans.
