Chicago a slight favorite in Sunday night's matchup against Houston.
The Chicago Bears host the Houston Texans Sunday night at Soldier Field in what has become a potential Super Bowl preview.
Houston enters the game with the best record in the AFC at 7-1 while Chicago is also 7-1, trailing the undefeated Atlanta Falcons for the best record in the NFC. Oddsmakers expect a tight game between the two top teams as the game opened even and has moved slightly in the direction of the Bears. A few lines now list Chicago as a 1-point favorite.
According to oddsshark.com, the game remains even despite the home-field advantage for Chicago. Both teams won their Week 9 games as Houston beat the Buffalo Bills, 21-9, while the Bears crushed the Tennessee Titans, 51-20.
A look at the team stats reveals an even matchup as Houston is ranked second in points scored at 29.6 per game with the Bears ranked third at 29.5 points per game. On the defensive side of the ball, Chicago ranks second in points allowed at 15 points per game with the Texans tied for third at 17.1 points per game.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
