The NFLPA's George Atallah took to Twitter to provide a brief statement on the terrible murder-suicide tragedy involving Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher. The tragedy has obviously rocked the entire NFL, and Atallah tweeted that the union has been in contact with its players:
There is nothing profound or comforting to say that can help us understand or explain a situation like this.— George Atallah (@GeorgeAtallah) December 1, 2012

As of early Saturday afternoon, there had been no word from the NFL about canceling Sunday's game in Kansas City between the Chiefs and Panthers.
