It looks like the 49ers have found their new change-of-pace back.
The San Francisco 49ers continued their run for the NFC's second seed Sunday when they handled the Miami Dolphins, 27-13, at Candlestick Park.
David Fucillo of Niners Nation stated that while there was "no single star of the game," he did come away quite impressed with rookie LaMichael James. Making his NFL debut as Frank Gore's caddy, James finished with a line of 30 yards on eight carries with one catch for 15 yards. James also chipped in 79 return yards while providing the 49ers with "a spark that was clearly missing last week in Kendall Hunter's absence."
Following the solid performance, Fucillo fully believes that James will be active again next week especially with Gore's workload being scaled back a bit. Gore only received 12 carries Sunday despite the fact that he was showing some serious burst on nearly every touch (5.8 yards per carry, 85 total yards).
