Bowe's reported multiple rib fractures appear to have ended his season.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has been placed on the injured reserve list, according to a report from Pro Football Talk. Bowe suffered rib injuries in Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, leaving in the first half after suffering the injury while engaged in run blocking.

Placement on the injured reserve means Bowe will miss all three of the Chiefs' remaining games. With a record of 2-11, Kansas City closes the season with games against the Oakland Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, and the Denver Broncos.

This season, Bowe caught 59 passes for 801 yards and three touchdowns, including a 102-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Buffalo Bills in week two.

The sixth-year receiver from LSU has spent all of his professional career with the Chiefs, hauling in a total of 5,728 yards and 39 touchdowns. Bowe signed a one-year contract with Kansas City prior to the 2012 season and is set to be a free agent at season's end.
