NFL odds Week 15: Panthers vs. Chargers

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sport

The San Diego Chargers are slim favorites against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The San Diego Chargers opened as three-point favorites against the Carolina Panthers, according to OddsShark.com, with Sunday's game being at Qualcomm Stadium the likely reasoning in a game between two sub-.500 teams. The spread has remained steady at three points except for 5 Dimes, which has it at 2.5 points in the Chargers' favor.

The Panthers, however, have the advantage in recent history. Carolina is 3-1 both straight up and against the spread in their last four meetings against San Diego. Furthermore, the Chargers are only 2-7 straight up and 3-6 against the spread in the past nine games.

The total for the game opened at 46 points and differs at some betting services at 45.5 points.

The Chargers are coming off a surprise 34-24 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers, which snapped a four-game losing skid, but the Panthers also have momentum after a 10-point upset win over the Atlanta Falcons.
