The Houston Texans were blown out on Monday night yet remain heavy favorites over the Colts on Sunday.
The Houston Texans aim to right the ship once more, taking on the Indianapolis Colts in the first of two crucial games between the two teams to finish the season.
The Texans (11-2) suffered another blowout loss to a powerhouse NFL team on Monday night, losing to the New England Patriots, 42-14. The Texans had shown signs of slowing down in previous weeks, needing overtime to beat both the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Colts (9-4) have now lost just one game in the past eight weeks, most recently beating the Titans in a comeback effort thanks to two late field goals. With the Colts and Texans playing twice in the final three weeks of the season, a win this Sunday by the Colts could mean a showdown for the division on Dec. 30.
Despite the disappointment of Monday night, the Texans still possess the advantage in nearly every matchup on the field over the Colts. As such, Houston heads into the game as 8-point favorites over Indy with the line set at a healthy 48.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CT, with coverage on CBS.
