NFL odds Week 15: Vikings vs. Rams

USA TODAY Sports

The Rams are slight favorites over the visiting Vikings on Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings continue their quest for the postseason on Sunday against the St. Louis Rams, who hold thin playoff aspirations of their own.

The Vikings (7-6) have been powered forward behind the big play of running back Adrian Peterson, whose 154 yards rushing and two touchdowns helped offset another ineffective game by quarterback Christian Ponder against the Chicago Bears last week. Minnesota has won just two out of six games since Oct. 25 and will attempt to fight their way into the postseason with the NFL's worst passing offense.

The Rams (6-6-1) are trending the other way after three straight victories, including a 15-12 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. St. Louis has rebounded thanks to a strong defensive surge in recent weeks, as the Rams offense continues to be inconsistent behind quarterback Sam Bradford.

St. Louis, holding the momentum and playing at home, are 1.5-point favorites in what is expected to be a tight game, with the line set at 38 1/2.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET with coverage on FOX.
