The Steelers are slight favorites in a Week 15 clash with the Cowboys.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are slim favorites as they visit the Dallas Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington on Sunday. Last week, the Steelers lost by ten after closing as seven-point favorites over the San Diego Chargers.
The line opened as a pick 'em with neither team favored. As seen on both OddsShark and the SB Nation NFL odds page, four books now have the Steelers favored by one point, while a few others peg them as two-point favorites.
The over-under point total is set at 44 points, which matches up exactly with the two teams' scoring averages. Dallas is averaging almost 23 points per game, while Pittsburgh averages 21. The Steelers are, however, ranked seventh in the league in scoring defense, giving up 20 points per game.
A key matchup will very likely be the Cowboys' passing game against the Pittsburgh defense. Tony Romo has led Dallas to the NFL's third-best pass attack at 292 yards per game, but the Steelers boast the league's best pass defense, allowing only 169 passing yards per game.
