The Cleveland Browns will try to remain playoff-eligible on Sunday afternoon against the red-hot Washington Redskins.
Fresh off an exciting overtime win against Baltimore, the Washington Redskins will try to earn their fifth consecutive victory on Sunday on the road against the Cleveland Browns.
The Redskins currently sit just one game back of the New York Giants for first place in the NFC East, and are the only team in the conference riding at least a four game winning streak. Led by rookie tailback Alfred Morris' third straight 100-yard performance in Week 14's win, Washington will hope to take advantage of a Cleveland defense that is giving up 120.5 yards per game on the ground.
Despite a disastrous 0-5 start, head coach Pat Shurmur's Browns have responded to reel off five victories over their last eight games. In addition to a three-game winning streak, the Browns have been able to turn things around offensively due to the improved play of quarterback Brandon Weeden, who toppled the 3,000-yard passing mark in Week 14. The 29-year-old Weeden has only thrown five interceptions over his last seven games, and looks poised to finish out the year strong with his job for 2013 potentially on the line.
