The Seahawks caught some flak for throwing last week while up 58-0, but they are not trying to run up the sco- never mind. They are.
After two and a half years back in the pros, following a decade of dominance at USC, Pete Carroll is super happy to have comfortable leads in the NFL for the first time. So happy that he wants all of the points and all of the plays.
Last week the Seahawks beat the Cardinals 58-0 and were passing the ball late in the game, clearly trying to score more touchdowns. But is Carroll trying to "run up the score?" Is he trying to embarrass other football teams? No. Pete is just trying to do what is best for his football team. He's not trying to embarrass you or run up the sco- never mind he just ran a fake punt with Jon Ryan while the Hawks led the Bills 47-17.
That's Michael Robinson "not running up the score" and Seattle settled for a field goal to score 50 points for the second straight week.
