New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers due to a knee injury.
Dennard, a rookie out of Nebraska, suffered the injury on the last drive of the first half while breaking up a pass. The cornerback was replaced by Kyle Arrington.
Prior to leaving with the injury, Dennard had had a rough go of it Sunday night. The rookie was torched by Randy Moss on a 24-yard scoring strike in the first quarter, then was burned on Delanie Walker's 34-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter that put San Francisco up 14-3. The Niners have since increased their lead to 31-10.
Coming into the game, Dennard had racked up 34 tackles, three interceptions and one forced fumble. He scored his first career touchdown back on Nov. 18 against the Indianapolis Colts when he picked off Andrew Luck and returned it 87 yards for a score.
