Kansas City hosts Carolina this Sunday afternoon in Week 13 NFL action.
The Kansas City Chiefs host the Carolina Panthers Sunday afternoon in a battle of last-place teams. The Chiefs are hoping to avoid their ninth-straight loss, but if they do fall to the Panthers they will match the longest losing streak in franchise history.
Carolina has some momentum building, as they were able to get past the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, 30-22. Those 30 points were the second-most that Carolina has scored all year.
The Panthers struggles begin with quarterback Cam Newton, who is having a sophomore slump, and that is contributing to Carolina's offensive struggles this year.
Going up against Kansas City could be what Carolina needs to get their offense on the right track. During the Chiefs eight-game losing streak they are allowing 25 points per game, and are only scoring just over 11 per contest.
The one area where the Chiefs are likely to have some success against the Panthers is the rushing game. Carolina is 25th in rushing yards allowed, while Kansas City is fourth in yards per game.
