It would be McFadden's fourth straight game he's missed if he is out of the lineup against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden is unlikely to play on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns, according to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schefter says the Raiders had been optimistic that the injured McFadden would return to the field this week.
McFadden is still dealing with a high ankle sprain that has caused him to miss the Raiders' previous three games. He practiced on Wednesday and Thursday in a limited capacity but his performance during the two days gave the Raiders hope that he could make his return.
When McFadden has played, he hasn't been the McFadden of old with only two 100-yard rushing games in eight games played, though prior to his injury, he was looking like he was returning to form.
It looks like the Raiders will have to continue to rely on Marcel Reece as their featured back. Reece hasn't disappointed with his play in McFadden's absence, averaging 4.7 yards per carry and putting up one 100-yard game with his 19 carry, 103 yard performance against the New Orleans Saints in Week 11.
