NFL tight ends don't often get enough credit for their ability to be enormous human beings and still control their body at high rates of speed. I can barely reach down to tie my shoes and turn to catch something that got knocked off the table without running the risk of blowing out my knee.
Enter Exhibit 12,503: Tony Scheffler.
The Lions tight end ran a good route and hauled in an on-the-money throw from Matthew Stafford that only he could get while still finding a way to toe-tap his feet in bounds. That's impressive from a 5'8 receiver who practices those routes their whole life; it's even more impressive from a 6'5, 255-pound tight end who is also expected to run block at a moment's notice. Kudos to you, Mr. Scheffler.
