Mark Sanchez is struggling mightily at home against the Cardinals. He has completed 6-of-12 attempts for 69 yards with three interceptions. He has a passer rating of 34.1.
Two of his interceptions were by Kerry Rhodes as both were a product of Sanchez succumbing to the pass rush. The third was on a deep throw on a post pattern to Chaz Schilens that was picked by Patrick Peterson. Peterson essentially let Chaz beat him deep and then made up ground for an incredible interception.
Sanchez has not looked comfortable in the pocket at all and clearly isn't going through his progressions.
Tim Tebow is inactive today due to fractured ribs, so Alabama product Greg McElroy is the backup. The crowd has been chanting for McElroy in the second quarter. McElroy's Wonderlic score of 48 will likely be higher than Sanchez's passer rating today. This isn't going to end well and the circus that is known as the New York Jets will have another sideshow this week for the national media.
