For the 10th time under Bill Belichick, the Patriots have won the AFC East.

With their 23-16 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the New England Patriots won their fourth straight AFC East title.

It's the 10th time in the Bill Belichick era that the Patriots have won the AFC East.

Tom Brady is the first quarterback in NFL history to win 10 division titles, according to the NFL History Twitter account. Joe Montana had nine in his career.

The Patriots clinched the title with a 9-3 record. The rest of the AFC East has struggled this season. The Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Dolphins are all 5-7.

New England's ninth win was a tough one. Brady struggled against the Dolphins' defense, completing just 60 percent of his passes for 238 yards and a touchdown. He also threw an interception. He had his worst quarterback rating (74.8) of the season.

Miami held New England to 321 yards on offense. The Dolphins couldn't get much offense going either, picking up 277 yards. Each team had one turnover.

The Patriots will have one of their biggest challenges this season when they host the Houston Texans (11-1) next Monday.
