The Chargers have yet to play defense against the Law Firm.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis is known as the Law Firm. The Chargers defense is playing like a jury that finds Green-Ellis's client not guilty, because they're letting him get away with murder.
With a half in the books in San Diego, Green-Ellis has rushed for 77 yards on eleven carries, and two catches for 11 yards. Green-Ellis came into the game with 767 rushing yards and five touchdowns during his first season in Cincinnati and he could be on his way to a career-high for a season. The Law Firm had 1,008 rushing yards for the Patriots in 2010. He is on fire lately with 307 yards over his last two-and-a-half games.
This is an uncharacteristic performance by the Chargers, the No. 5 run defense in the NFL, though they have allowed over 100 yards on the ground in four of their last five games. Currently, the Bengals have 82 yards on 5.9 yards per carry. There is still a half to either go up or down on that margin.
