Feet still moving? Check. Set with the backside instead of the front? Check. Risking someone else's injury? Check. This umpire went to the Kevin Garnett school of veteran screens, that's for sure.
Few players in all of sports display as much veteran savvy — read: getting away with illegal stuff — as Kevin Garnett. Referees, when watching sports at home and not on the job, surely pick up on stuff other refs miss. I would imagine they greatly admire those cagey vets. This back umpire in the Chargers-Bengals game is definitely a fan of The Big Ticket.
Just look at that thing of beauty. Sliding his feet, setting it with his butt, clipping an unsuspecting player, and not drawing a whistle (clearly)? Somewhere, Kevin Garnett is nodding and shouting obscenities to no one in particular in approval.
