Another week, another shot on the kneel down.
It has been a while since Greg Schiano looked to make a play on a victory formation, but it happened again this week against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
Peyton is now the second Manning who the Buccaneers have taken a shot at on the kneel down, with the Bucs going after Eli Manning earlier this season.
This season ,the first-year coach has preached a 'play to the whistle' mentality to his players, which largely impacts plays like this. Detractors view this as a lack of sportsmanship, and unnecessary contact on a meaningless play. Sure, there's precedent for a turnover happening out of the victory formation, but maybe the same sense of urgency should be shown on every play -- not just the last one.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell by a score of 31-23, ensuring division rival Atlanta the NFC South, and putting a huge damper on Tampa's playoff aspirations.
