A win by the Falcons clinches a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. Here's how to watch.
The Atlanta Falcons have an opportunity to secure a first-round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win over the Detroit Lions on Saturday night at Ford Field, while the Lions have a chance to make a disappointing season a bit more respectable with an upset win.
The Falcons (12-2) are coming off an impressive 34-0 blanking of the New York Giants in Week 15 to snag their fourth win in their last five games. By winning the two remaining games on their schedule, Atlanta could finish 14-2, their best record since 1998.
The Lions are mired in a brutal six-game losing streak after being beaten by the lowly Arizona Cardinals, 38-10, last Sunday. It's been a disappointing year for the Lions, after they finished 10-6 last season and made it to the NFC playoffs.
