Previewing a key NFC West showdown between the 49ers and Seahawks, as well as a look at where you can catch all of the action on Sunday night.
The San Francisco 49ers (10-3-1) and Seattle Seahawks (9-5) meet in Week 16 for what will be the biggest NFC West matchup of the year. If the 49ers win, they will claim the division crown for the second-straight season. If the Seahawks win, the final game of the season for both teams becomes even more crucial.
For the 49ers, they have found new life in their offense under quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The young QB has had his fair share of mental blunders, but he led the Niners to a big 41-34 win over the Patriots last weekend. San Francisco also features one of the best defenses in the league, led by sacks leader Aldon Smith and All-Pro linebacker Patrick Willis.
The Seahawks have caught fire in recent weeks behind rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. Seattle has scored 50-plus points in their last two weeks, and are arguably the hottest team in the NFC right now. Similar to the 49ers, the Seahawks also feature a stout defense that has made a habit of forcing turnovers.
