The Chiefs can play a spoiler role to the Colts on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs have long been eliminated from playoff contention but can still do a little damage to their AFC opponents in the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are holding the fifth seed in the AFC but a loss combined with a Cincinnati Bengals win would drop them into a tie in the AFC playoff race. A Bengals win would also cement a playoff spot for the Colts, meaning they'd be battling for positioning in the final week of the season.
The Colts are looking to continue their surprise season coming off a 2-14 season a year ago, and a win in this game would put them into double digits in the win column for the first time since the 2010 season.
The Chiefs would like to salvage a win in what has been a difficult season. Kansas City is just 2-12 on the year with wins coming over the New Orleans Saints in September and the Carolina Panthers earlier this month to their credit this year.
