The Cowboys need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The New Orleans Saints have already been eliminated from the NFC playoff hunt, but the Dallas Cowboys are clinging to hope they could make it to the postseason.
The Cowboys are in a log jam of four teams sitting at 8-6 on the season in the NFC. As of now, the Minnesota Vikings hold the sixth and final playoff spot in the conference, as they take on the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Chicago Bears also sit ahead of the Cowboys; they play at the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. A loss from the Cowboys and a win from either the Vikings or Bears will keep the Cowboys home for the postseason.
For New Orleans, this is a big opportunity to spoil the Cowboys playoff hopes. The Saints were eliminated from the playoffs following a blowout loss at the hands of the New York Giants two weeks ago at the tail end of a three-game losing streak.
