NFL inactives, Week 16: Raiders vs. Panthers

Raiders and Panthers will go at it with pride (and NFL Draft positioning) on the line.

The Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers come into their game on Sunday playing for pride. Neither team is in the playoff race, so this will be a game of two teams wanting to lay down to improve their NFL Draft position or two teams who want to end their seasons with some sort of momentum heading into another offseason full of disappointment.

But they'll have to do it with some of their players out as the inactive lists have been distributed.

The Raiders will be without fullback Jeremy Stewart, defensive tackle Richard Seymour, linebacker Rolando McClain, wide receiver Juron Criner, offensive tackle Willie Smith, offensive lineman Lucas Nix and defensive end Dave Tollefson. McClain's recent two-game suspension is over but he still has to watch games from the sidelines. Seymour isn't a big loss anymore since the team has gotten so used to playing without him, as he hasn't played since Nov. 4.

The Panthers will be without quarterback Jimmy Clausen, wide receiver David Gettis, running back Jonathan Stewart, linebacker James Anderson, offensive lineman Geoff Hangartner, offensive guard Hayworth Hicks and defensive tackle Sione Fua.
