Jake Locker posting perfect passer rating as halftime approaches, as long as 0.0 is perfect

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

If passer rating was a breathalyzer test, Locker would be free to go.

The Tennessee Titans got bad news on Sunday when they learned that Chris Johnson was questionable to return with an ankle injury. They got worse news when they found out that Jake Locker was definitely their starting quarterback and posting some awfully unattractive numbers.

Locker was sitting at a perfect-looking and yet entirely-unperfect 0.0 passer rating against the Packers. Going into the second quarter, Locker had more interceptions (2) than he had completions (1).

Things were looking up for Locker at the beginning of the season, throwing for 378 yards, 2 TD and 0 INT against the Lions in Week 3, but he was forced out for some time with a shoulder injury. Upon returning, Locker did not just have his shoulder re-attached, but a label marked 'Bust.' Locker had 3 TD and 7 INT in his last four games and as the Titans approach halftime, he is 3-of-11 for 35 yards, 0 TD and 2 INT with three sacks. The Titans have 25 net yards passing. But there is good news.

Johnson has returned to the game, and Locker has raised his QB rating:

0.8!
