SB Nation's Miami Dolphins blog, The Phinsider, reacts to the team's 24-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Behind Reggie Bush's dominance in the passing game as well as the running game, the Miami Dolphins held on to defeat the visiting Buffalo Bills by the score of 24-10 at home, improving the team's record to 7-8 on the season.
The dynamic running back accumulated 107 yards for Miami's offense while also scoring all three touchdowns for the team. Two of the three touchdowns were from rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who looked to Bush time after time on Sunday.
Miami can also thank their defense that held on to protect the lead, as noted by Kevin Nogle of SB Nation's Dolphins blog, The Phinsider. While the Dolphins defense allowed a bunch of yardage, the team came up with three big turnovers.
The Dolphins defense gave up 381 yards on the day, but also recovered three fumbles during the game. Safety Reshad Jones, who only record two tackles and one quarterback hit, recovered two of the three, while Chris Clemons picked up the third. Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon each recorded a sack.
Despite the victory, the Dolphins were officially eliminated from the AFC playoff picture before winning their game due to the Steelers' loss at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. With no playoff implications at stake, the Dolphins will close out the season on the road against the New England Patriots, where a win would give the Dolphins an even 8-8 record.
