Vick has long been rumored to be on his way out in Philadelphia, but will return to the starting role against the New York Giants. Foles fractured his hand just before halftime, but continued to play through the injury. Foles wasn't the only rookie casualty on Sunday, as linebacker Mychal Kendricks suffered a concussion against the Redskins. Kendricks has played well this season, and his status for Sunday has yet to be determined.
The Cowboys will play the Redskins for the NFC East title on Sunday, but Dallas may not have the services of linebacker DeMarcus Ware. Ware continues to deal with hamstring, elbow and shoulder injuries. He missed the entire fourth quarter on Sunday due to a strained shoulder. When asked if Ware would play this week, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told the Dallas Morning News he thought that somehow, some way Ware would get himself in position to play.
The Redskins could be without backup safety DeJon Gomes after he suffered a partially torn MCL on Sunday. Washington head coach Mike Shanahan said Gomes suffered a second-degree MCL sprain and will be evaluated in practice this week. Right tackle Tyler Polumbus will also be evaluated during the week. He missed Sunday's game with a concussion and will continue to go through the NFL concussion testing.
New York is still clinging to their playoff lives, but the Giants may be without defensive end Chris Canty on Sunday. Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Canty has a MCL sprain. Canty has been limited to nine games this season, but does have 26 tackles and three sacks.
