Michael Vick will start against the Giants on Sunday.
The Philadelphia Eagles have placed starting quarterback Nick Foles on the injured reserve, according to the Eagles' official Twitter account.
Foles broke his hand this past weekend against the Washington Redskins.
Foles, a rookie, took over for struggling veteran Michael Vick midway through the 2012 season. In seven games this season (six starts), Foles completed 61 percent of his passes for 1,699 yards. He threw six touchdowns and five interceptions, while getting sacked 20 times.
Foles, 23, was a third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Foles was a three-year starter at Arizona. He had his best season as a senior, throwing for 4,334 yards and 28 touchdowns. He completed 69 percent of his passes.
The Eagles will wrap up a tumultuous season Sunday against the New York Giants. After starting the season 3-1 and winning all four preseason games, the Eagles lost eight games in a row. They finally broke the losing streak with a 23-21 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Dec. 9.
With Foles out, the Eagles will once again start Vick, who hasn't played since Nov. 11.
