Week 17 NFL picks: Buccaneers vs. Falcons

US PRESSWIRE

The experts like the Atlanta Falcons over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17 despite the fact that the Falcons may rest some starters.

The Atlanta Falcons host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday in a game that means very little to either team. The Falcons have wrapped up the No. 1 seed in the NFC, while the Bucs were eliminated from playoff contention a couple of weeks ago when they were destroyed by the New Orleans Saints.

Atlanta edged Tampa Bay, 24-23, in their first meeting back on Nov. 25. The Falcons will likely consider resting some of their key players for a good portion of this weekend's game, but most pundits still like them to come up with a victory.

SB Nation's Joel Thorman says the Falcons will win, 20-16, because they are a deep team and should be able to beat the Bucs, even if the reserves see a lot of time. Over at CBS Sports, all eight experts and their prediction machine have picked Atlanta. And finally, all three Yahoo! Sports experts are going with the Falcons.
