Chicago Bears strong safety Major Wright took a shot at Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford in a conference call with Detroit media, according to the Chicago Tribune. Wright said that Stafford "kind of folds" under pressure.
Wright said that Stafford is having an "OK" season, but that he'll fold if the Bears put any real pressure on him and close the pocket.
Discerning readers will note, of course, that the Bears looked to have the division an a playoff spot under wraps when they were 7-1 on the season, but a defensive collapse (the offense wasn't perfect either, mind you) led them to lose five of their next seven games.
They're on the outside looking in on the NFL playoffs, and need to best the Lions in Week 17 to have a shot at making it, though they still need some help. Surely, getting Stafford to "fold" would ensure victory and give them the best chance to make the playoffs.
