The Bears are the experts' pick to win their Week 17 game against the Lions.
The Chicago Bears have everything to play for in the final week of the NFL season as they are fighting for a playoff spot. The 9-6 Bears are going up against the 4-11 Detroit Lions and they need to take care of their own business and get a little help to make the playoffs.
As far as expert picks go for this Week 17 matchup, the Bears are the overwhelming favorite. Eight of 12 ESPN experts, plus two computer simulators, are taking Chicago to defeat Detroit. Over at Yahoo, two of their three experts are also siding with the Bears to defeat the Lions.
Sports Illustrated's Peter King also has the Bears winning, and he goes one step further than the others, predicting Chicago to win a close one over Detroit, 27-25.
Those who are taking the Lions to defeat the Bears are possibly leaning that way due to the dominance of wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who is looking to hit 2,000 total receiving yards for the year. If the Lions are able to pull off the upset, they will be ending a seven-game losing streak.
