The Saints and Panthers will both conclude their 2012 seasons on Sunday afternoon in the Superdome, in a game lacking any playoff implications.
It's been a disappointing season for the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, and they'll close out 2012 when they meet in the Superdome on Sunday. The two teams met back in Week 2, with the Panthers emerging as 35-27 winners.
The 7-8 Saints will be hoping to reach .500 for the year with a win. They boast the NFL's No. 3 offense in terms of both yardage and scoring, largely due to a passing attack that averages 307 yards per game.
The Panthers are assured to finish this season under .500, as they enter the final game at just 6-9. A win could see them finish above the Saints in the NFC South, though, something that hasn't happened since 2008.
Neither the Saints nor Panthers will be a factor in the NFC playoff picture, but all of the possible scenarios can be found here.
