The Browns and Steelers will both put their disappointing 2012 seasons to rest when they meet in Week 17.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will put their disappointing 2012 season to an end on Sunday when they host the division rival Cleveland Browns. Neither team will take part in the AFC playoffs, and this game won't have any impact on the seeding.
The Steelers were eliminated last Sunday with a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. That loss dropped them to 7-8 on the season, assuring that a .500 finish is the best that they can do. The Browns sit at just 5-10 on the year, and would be picking No. 7 in the NFL draft if the season ended today.
Both teams will likely be glad to put this season behind them. Pittsburgh could use the offseason to get healthy in hopes of a better 2013, while the Browns could really use an upgrade at quarterback and quite a few other weapons before the start of next season.
