The top spot in the AFC playoffs will still be up for grabs when the Texans and Colts meet on Sunday.
Both the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans will take part in the AFC playoffs, but Sunday's Week 17 matchup will still have an impact on the seeding for the postseason.
Indianapolis has sewn up the No. 5 seed, and will hit the road to face either the Baltimore Ravens or New England Patriots depending on other Week 17 results. The focus for the Colts will likely be on staying healthy, as the outcome of the game is not going to mean very much to them.
Houston has much more to play for, as a win in the team's finale would secure the top seed in the AFC playoffs. In addition to a first-round bye, the Texans would be assured of playing at home until they lose or reach the Super Bowl.
There will be a few personal milestones to watch for in this game as well. J.J. Watt is sitting on 20.5 sacks for the season, putting the single-season sack record very much within reach. Matt Schaub can also reach 4,000 yards for the year if he throws for 277 on Sunday.
