The New York Giants need to win against the Philadelphia Eagles, their biggest rival, in Week 17, to maintain any semblance of hope for an NFC Wild Card appearance. The Giants are reeling, especially after getting punked by the Baltimore Ravens, 33-14, in a Week 16 game they desperately needed.
The Philadelphia Eagles have been an objective mess this season, but there's one thing all involved with the Eagles can agree upon: beating the Giants.
While the Redskins and Cowboys will play Sunday night for the NFC East crown, the Eagles, behind reinstated starting quarterback Michael Vick, will play for pride, curious as to whether head coach Andy Reid will be coaching them for the final time.
The Giants, however, have a lot more on the line than the Eagles this week. Though it's far from simple, if the Giants can win, and the Bears, Vikings and Cowboys lose, they'll sneak in. If they do sneak in, we all know it's pretty much a certainty that they'll win a Super Bowl.
